Cosmetic-love purchases; Korean brands

It's my first time purchasing from cosmetic-love, I made the order around the 2nd or 3rd of febuary and I got the package today. I was actually a bit sceptic about it because the items I bought are face products and we all know that they have to be at a certain room temperature to keep them in good condition. But yet they all arrived earlier than I expected and they were all safely bubble wrapped inside the box which was a sigh of relief. Oh and did I mention that www.cosmetic-love.com delivers for free? Check out their website and just browse through their products; they have face, hair and body products available. They are also neatly categorised to make it easier to browse. If you are not sure of which product to try, just search through the categories and when you click on a product they will have descriptions and how to use instructions which will expand your knowledge about that specific product.

I don't normally use a lot of products on my face, but I did use to do so a long time ago. I just wash my face then use maxi peel sometimes and mosturiser. But recently for the last couple of years I've been sleeping with no mosturiser most of the time and sometimes I get too lazy and I end up sleeping without washing my face and it caused excess sebum to build up which then lead to breakouts/mild acne. So now I am trying to recover and improve my well-being and skin is a big part of that.

The first product I bought was the skinfood black sugar for exfoliating my skin. My skin type is combination to oily skin and I get really dry on some areas of my face especially in this winter season. I sometimes use maxi peel to get rid of scars which causes flaky skin. So I hope this will help with the dryness and improve the overall texture of my skin.

I heard very good reviews about this product so I'm not gonna' lie, I have very high expectations from the black sugar mask.

I have used this product a long time ago, most likely 2-3 years ago. I repurchased it again because I had great results from it. My skin was always smooth after using this mask and it has brightening effects so my complexion looked fresh and glowy. It's worth the try, especially if you think your skin looks dull, it will definitely make you look like you just woke up from a very good deep sleep lol.

I was not so sure about this product, I mean I have never tried any Ciracle brand before so I don't really know what to expect from this product. I have read the decription and it sounded like it can fade my scars but I couldn't find a review on this products at all so it was a purchase gamble. I shall do a review on this soon, because it seems like a mysterious product that no one has ever tried or no one bothered to make a review about.

This is nothing new to me, I have used this for as long as I can remember. I can recall using "skin79" bb cream as the first ever bb cream I ever tried and tested and I didn't like it at all as the colour was too grey. Then I did a little bit more research on bb cream brands and came across "Missha". I bought the no.21 at first then on my second purchase I bought the shade darker no.23 and I have never stopped using it ever since.

I could say this is probably one of the main staple in my makeup bag. I probably can't live without it now; I most likely have used it for at least 4-5 years now.

The final product I bought is the dual effect sleeping pack. Again, this is nothing new to me. I tried this a few years back and continued purchasing it for about 3-4 months. I used it mostly everynight after putting on a mosturizer, and when I woke up I'd wash my face straight away and I just loved the way it made my skin look. It felt so smooth and my skin looked very well maintained and healthy. It has anti-wrinkle and brightening benefits so it will help with fading scars and preventing premature aging.

They also included 4 packs of samples by etude house, which I can generously give to my friends who want's to try something new :)

Trip to Amsterdam

The trip was made on the 11th to the 13th of December. Before knowing about the trip I was really disappointed at myself because I did not go on holiday for the whole year and the year was already ending so I was feeling very gutted. I made plans but it always got cancelled and never worked out. But on the last month of 2014 Jet gifted me a ticket and accommodation to Amsterdam which made me extremely happy OBVIOUSLY; and I was ever so much thankful!

We got to the airport pretty early so we had time to eat breakfast. The photo qualities are a bit bleh because all we brought with us was our iphones lol, next time I promise to bring my camera.

The plane we got on was delayed for a while due to the strong wind in Amsterdam so we were stuck in the plane for almost an hour, 42 mins to be exact. Anyway we got to Amsterdam safely within an hour and a half. The pilot said he took a shortcut to make it up to the schedule lol.

Our accommodation was Ibis style hotel based in Stadhouderskade. We arrived earlier than the check in time but they had a room available for us anyway and from then on they were on my good book list already. Their staff were very friendly and when we needed a plug for charging, they generously lent us the plug with no extra fee.

These photo's are not mine, they are from booking.com

The hotel was nicely decorated and it is actually supposed to be a budget hotel, but it was very nice for the price. We had free breakfast every morning and had no disturbance whilst on our stay. Probably the only downfall it has are the stairs, it was a bit scary to step down them as they were quite steep and the stairs platform were not that wide.

As soon as we got there, we went to Lidl's to buy some munchies, it was literally just 3-5 mins walk from the hotel. Then we went to Dam to explore, we even walked through the red district and saw the girls through the window while walking past.

We also went on a boat cruise around the lake and learned the brief Amsterdam history.

The ride estimated from 50 mins to over an hour. The buildings they had were beautifully designed and what fascinated me the most was the boat houses. There were small and massive ones, you can actually see the people inside the boat houses having dinner, slouching on their couch watching the TV, pretty much their lifestyle and I found it so cute; it's like looking through little doll houses.

Our trip ended so swiftly and I had an amazing time. After 2 nights and 3 days, we head back to the airport to go back to England.

The sky looked so mesmerizing! THANK YOU FOR THE TRIP AND MEMORIES :)
